Accommodation description

It is a newly built stone house with old materials, near Burgos, close to the Atapuerca deposits and on the Camino de Santiago. It has heating.

The house has: fully equipped kitchen and living room with stove-chimney on the ground floor, wooden staircase, distributor, bathroom, two bedrooms on the upper floor and patio-garden with outdoor table and chairs and barbecue.
It is rented with complete bedding sets and feather duvets, as well as towel sets. If required, we have a cot and bathtub for babies, as well as an extra bed without an increase in price.
It is located 10 km from Burgos and at the foot of the Sierra de Atapuerca and La Demanda. The main cultural visits within a radius of 15 km are: Burgos and its monuments (10 km), the Atapuerca Archaeological Sites (6 km), the Monastery of San Juan de Ortega (10 km), the Monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña ( 2 km), the Cartuja de Miraflores (5 km), the Monastery of Las Huelgas, etc.
You can also make a tourism between culture and leisure traveling sections of the Camino de Santiago, the Ruta del Cid (both pass through the town), or hiking trails along the Mining Railway bordering the Urquiza and Arlanzón reservoirs, through the park Natural of Fuentes Blancas or along the banks of the river Arlanzón that bathes the orchard where the famous "Ibeas" beans are grown. We also have cartography to carry out routes near the town such as the quarries where you will be surprised by the abundance of fossils or along the banks of the Arlanzón River in the direction of the Atapuerca Archaeological Sites or in the direction of the San Pedro de Cardeña Monastery.
If our clients come in summer we can offer them the practice of water sports and non-motorized sailing in the Urquiza and Arlanzón reservoirs. If the visit is in autumn, they will be able to pick mushrooms, blackberries, sloes, etc... Within the framework of a landscape full of color due to the different shades of the forests. If it is in winter and the snowy landscape accompanies you, you can practice sky in Valdezcaray (1h) or in Alto Campoo (1h 30m). If it is in spring, the walks along the banks of the Arlanzón River with the sound of the water in the early hours of the morning or at dusk will leave you relaxed.
The gastronomic variety with starters of black pudding from Burgos, cheeses, sausages and scrambled eggs with mushrooms, first courses such as Ibeas beans, second courses such as roast suckling lamb, with desserts of curds with honey or apple pie, all of them accompanied by wines from the area such as Ribera del Duero, Arlanza or Rioja and ending with a variety of pomace, make Burgos cuisine one of the most exquisite, and competent in prices.
